Not quite as groundbreaking as DS1 but the combat is the best in the series.

Every inch of this world feels alive. The story had me in tears by the end.

The combat loop is perfect. Megaera, Lernie, the Champions - every boss is a joy to fight.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Depths are terrifying, the sky is magical, and Ultrahand creations are hilarious.

I think games ARE genuinely better now. But I also think a 7 is treated like a failure which is daft.
