Elden Ring

Elden Ring takes everything FromSoftware has learned across a decade of Souls games and drops it into a vast, interconnected open world. The Lands Between is dense with secrets, dungeons, and boss encounters that range from intimate duels to jaw-dropping spectacles. George R.R. Martin's worldbuilding adds genuine lore depth. The back half does rely on some repeated encounters and certain bosses feel overtuned, but these are minor complaints against a game that redefines what an open-world RPG can be.
